Nixon was founded in the summer of 1997 by Andy Laats and Chad DiNenna and is dedicated to the fundamentals of custom design, high quality manufacturing and professionalism. Nixon represents the fusion of diverse backgrounds and talents of its founders. Laats is the mechanical engineer, Stanford MBA, and longtime snowboarder. DiNenna is the West Coast surfer, magazine exec and watch lover. Together they have forged Nixon's success and recognition in the highly competitive board sports industry from where both are strongly rooted. Every watch is built to endure high stress work and play environments.
